Banks in the U.K to accept smartphone photos of cheques

Plans have been announced to allow bank customers to pay cheques into their account by taking photos on their smartphones.

Rather than go to the bank in person, customers will be able to photograph the cheque, and send it electronically.

The government is to launch a consultation on the idea, with a view to making the necessary legal changes.

See technology. We will get there some day I guess?

  6. Here that we don't have Internet connection. You will send to the bank and they will tell you after 5 days that they never saw your message. Lol

  13. How many people have fons with good image quality in nigeria? And if dem try am ehn, 7 people will snap the same cheque and send it to like 12 different branches @ d same time + don't forget the yahoo boys dey will photo shop cheques ehn, abeg last last I don't think even the uk is ready for this
