Why I always knew Thin Tall Tony was a married man -T Boss

Tokunbo Idowu, aka T-Boss, second-runner of the recently concluded Big Brother Naija reality say down with The Nation to talk about her experience in the house .

Excerpts below

On how she feels for not emerging winner

I really appreciate the efforts they put in. I’ve heard some of the supports… I appreciate and I say to them all, thanks. I did not get the grand prize but I am a winner. I am absolutely a winner and I am an absolute queen. I went there as Tokunbo Idowu, just a simple girl, but right now I’m a queen. And that crown, that’s my crown, it’s befitting of how I feel right now. So, Efe is the grand prize winner but I’m also a winner. Bisola is a winner, everybody is a winner. So, I don’t feel bad at all.

On surprises following the end of the show

OK. So far, nothing has surprised me. About Thin Tall Tony, I always said it, Tony is a married man. He looks like a married man. He carries himself as someone’s father. I have always been saying that in the house. About this Gifty, actually, I’m not thinking much about that right now. So far, I haven’t heard anything that I would say is surprising.

On Kemen saying she was aware he touched her ,she said ...

(Making faces)… See, since I got back (from South Africa), I haven’t slept. I had one hour sleep last night. My head is full with media interviews and so much running around. The last thing I want to think about now is the Kemen issue. I didn’t like it and to be very honest, Kemen was a good friend. But I really do not want to comment about this right now. I am not ready. When I’m ready, I will speak about it.
It was only after leaving the house that some truths about the housemates, like TTT being married and Gifty being married too, came to the surface.

On baring her boobs

See, the Big Brother house is a place where you showcase yourself. You’re free to be T-Boss. Whoever T-Boss is, you show the world who T-Boss is. And in my own life, in my normal day-to-day life, I don’t like to wear clothes when I’m walking around in my house. I like to be free, here (pointing from her waist downwards), covered here (pointing upwards from her waist), what’s the point? Or I’ll just wear one small blouse. The Big Brother house was like my house at a point.
So, I would just be very very very free. I didn’t do it out of boredom. No, I was just being myself and walking around without clothes… I didn’t go to the kitchen, you know, because, then, that is like really seeking attention or go out into the garden or to the arena. No, I didn’t do that.

Despite her success at Big Brother Naija,we are not getting back together- Bisola's baby daddy

Big Brother Naija first runner up,Bisola’s baby daddy, Olanrewaju Malcolm, who is an artiste manager and showbiz promoter, denied dumping the actress at the alter. In an exclusive chat with Sunday Scoop, he said,

“It is a big fat lie that I dumped Bisola at the altar; there was nothing like that. In fact, I’m still looking for the person who wrote that story online because it is malicious. We split because we had some personality traits that could not complement each other and there was never any marriage.”

Expressing his opinion of her conduct while in the house, Malcolm said,

“I think she was able to go there, represent herself well and also showcase her talent. She was lively and full of fun while in the house and I guess that’s what viewers want.”

On if he had ever haboured thoughts that Bisola would one day participate in a reality show of that nature, he said,

“I have always known her as a very talented person and she always goes for what she wants. In fact, she had been in reality shows before Big Brother.”

Speaking about Bisola’s closeness to Tony while in the house, he said,

“She is a grown woman and whatever she did on the show is her business.”

He also said that their daughter, Leyla hasn’t really said much about the show, but “naturally, she’s happy that her mother won.”

Responding to a question on whether they would still get back together, Malcolm said

“Everything still remains the same. It doesn’t mean that because she was successful at Big Brother Naija, we are coming back together. There was a reason for our break up, which is personality differences, and those differences are still there.”

My marriage is safe,..Bisola did not give me 'head' -Thin Tall Tony

Thin Tall Tony has opened up on his marriage after leaving the Big Brother House.According to him, he respected orders from his wife not to reveal his marital status ..Excerpts from his interview with The Nation

Do you think that you could have earned more favour from fans if you had told the truth about your marriage?

I respected myself and respected the orders from my wife not to disclose my marital status; to keep my family out of it. Also, while in the house, there’s no lie that I do like Bisola a lot and I could have taken it a step further but remembering what took me into the house in the first place; I could have led her on, could have also gotten to the part where maybe sex would have been involved. Also I tried as much as I can to protect her because I knew where I was coming from and that’s what I did. Let’s not forget that it is a game and we were all playing a game.

Are you having problems with your marriage in any ways?

No, I’m not. (Laughs) My marriage is safe. The only thing that I’m looking forward to is kissing my wife and holding my kids.Since I left the house – to be honest – I have not spoken to anyone apart from my wife and she hasn’t said anything embarrassing yet.

One of the comments that I read was that they felt that I played the game the way I should have, and sticking to the whole thing of keeping my marriage private and not allowing anyone know.

How do you feel now, knowing that your strategy of philandering with Bisola and TBoss didn’t work for you?

To correct that, I didn’t play with anyone’s emotion. I tried as much as I can to know who these ladies were. For me, I was more into Bisola based on what I would be able to learn from her as an artiste like myself. I and Tboss had no connection whatsoever because even after the house, we won’t be able to work together; she is on a different level and Bisola is also on a different level that is also my own line. So, I connected only with Bisola.

Bisola did give you a ‘head’ in the house, were you really going to lay her when you brought out those condoms on the night before your eviction?

(Laughs)I hear that the rumour is flying; maybe it would take me a long time to try and clear that. Bisola did not give me a head in the house. We were talking under the sheets; we always talk under the sheets. That’s the only time we have our moments together to just talk outside the cameras. That’s also where we talked about laying things straight because even when she had an opportunity to come out openly; if there was anything we would have told Ebuka, we didn’t.
But mostly, a lot of people did hear when she said Tony is a gentleman and Tony did not do things that you probably thought he did. I would wait for her to come out and if she has a different opinion which I do not believe that she will; I know what happened and I can only tell you. You are allowed to believe what you want to believe but nothing did happen.

How has your wife reacted since you left?

My wife has been very supportive and she just wants me to come home but right now, we are doing the interviews and the rest. I should be able to spend that much family quality time with her. We need to sit down and strategize on how to move forward with everything and also try to clear the air. I also don’t want it to look like I’m putting her on the spot but funny enough that’s what comes with new environment that we find ourselves, but she has been very supportive and I am very humble and thankful to have someone as supportive as my wife.

They say stolen funds are now been kept in burial grounds

The Federal Government says its anti corruption agencies have been inundated with information of how looters have resorted to burying stolen funds in their backyards, deep forests and burial grounds.

The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, who disclosed this in a statement issued on Sunday in Lagos, said the whistle blower policy is working and has led to the recovery of more looted funds in many currencies.

Mohammed assured in a statement signed by his Special Adviser, Mr Segun Adeyemi, that all the recovered looted funds were safe and government will give full account to Nigerians.

The minister thanked Nigerians for their enthusiasm and commitment in helping the government to tackle corruption through disclosure of useful leads to appropriate government agencies.

“Since we launched the whistle blower policy, we have received immeasurable support from Nigerians.

“Yes, there is monetary reward for any information that leads to recovery of looted funds, but from what we have seen, most of the Nigerians who have come forward with useful leads were driven by patriotism rather than reward.

”Nigerians, fired by a fervid resolve to help banish corruption from their country, have daily inundated the offices of the appropriate government agencies with valuable information.

“We have been told how looters have resorted to burying stolen funds in their backyards, in deep forests and even in burial grounds.

”Thanks to whistle-blowers, it is now clear that a rapacious few have pillaged the nation’s wealth through a vicious orgy of corrupt practices,” he said.

The minister, however, noted that more funds were in the possession of looters than were available to government at all levels to meets its obligations including paying workers’ salaries and providing social amenities.

He stressed that the government will not abandon the policy for whatever reason, but will continue to rejig it and make it more effective as a tool for fighting corruption.

The minister assured that as soon as the necessary reconciliation process and the litigation in some of the cases were concluded, government would give full account of the recovered looted funds to Nigerians.

Mohammed re-assured Nigerians who have useful information on looted funds that the government will protect their identities and give them their stipulated reward.

Nigerian Man recounts how cartons of wine saved his friend from Armed Robbers

Visage Media CEO, Chukwudi Iwuchukwu, recounted how cartons of wine stashed in a car trunk saved the life of his friend who was mobbed by armed robbers.
Chukwudi wrote:

Folks help me to thank God that saved the life of my best friend and good man Ezekpudoghu Chijioke. 5 days ago, he rang me: “Nwokem where are you”? “Are you home so I can drive over and pick you for us to go to Oko “I told him I was going to Awka for a meeting with a client so I won’t be available.
What this means is that I won’t be joining him to Oko community for the outing we earlier planned together.
I was disturbed when I later rang his number on Monday night to know how the outing went, no response.
I rang again on Tuesday, his number this time around was switched off. I rang again on Wednesday, the same story.
Instantly, the alarm bell in my head went off.
I was making arrangement to visit his house to check up on him only to see a call from a relieved and emotional call from him on my phone that Wednesday night.
Apparently, on his way to drop his companion on Monday night at her house in Oko, he was waylaid by Armed robbers who double crossed his car and what happened next seemed like a scene out of a Nollywood movie.
These sons of dogs barked at him to surrender his car key. The occupants of the car were robbed of everything they had with them.
The only thing that were left for them is just the shirt and trouser he wore that fateful day.
As if the trauma was not enough, he was instructed by these idiots to enter the car boot of his own car. The criminals want to take him on an interesting journey, he was told.
His only saving grace was that prior to driving down to pick his female companion, he bought cartons of wine for his family’s Easter celebration meaning that the car boot was not free for him to enter.
When the criminals saw that there was no space for him in the boot, they had to hurriedly leave him behind and then fled with their loot.
My good man was smart enough to install tracker in his car, the only problem is that he does not have access to the internet because his internet modem was taken from him by these guys together with his phone. So he had to wait till the next day, traumatized and heart broken before he could have access to the internet.
Guess where his car was? Badagry community in Lagos
What this means is that these guys drove all the way to Lagos the same night after collecting the car from him.
He had to demobilized the car, mobilized policemen in Lagos to go and pick the car on his behalf and will soon fly to Lagos to get his car back.
Psalm 121 vs 1-2, says and I quote:
1 I lift up my eyes to the mountains—where does my help come from?
2 My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.
When you know that Your source is from God, trust me, he does not fail nor disappoint. Dear young person reading this, go and install a tracker in your car. You never can tell what will happen next.
Nigeria is a crazy place to stay but one thing I know and I’m sure is this: God will always have the back of his own.
This is my friends testimony. Join him in praising God.
You see this God! He is able.

Why I supported my daughter after she slapped a boy – Emir Sanusi

For the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Muhammad Sanusi II, there has always been something strange about the daughter, Shaheeda who represented him at the BBOG movement’s third anniversary lecture for missing Chibok girls in Abuja last Friday.

By her own account at the Transcorp-Hilton Hotel venue of the event, Shaheeda said that she just became the first female in northern Nigeria to represent an Emir at a formal event.
.
While she appeared to have some inkling about the criticism that was bound to trail the development, and her not so conventional or inadequate use of the veil, her father’s video message that introduced her as a rather strange child took some members of the audience by surprise. .
.
“Let me tell you something about the young lady who is going to read my speech. When she was in Form 3, I remember an incident that is probably relevant for today. Her mother came to me and said: ‘You need to talk to your daughter’ and I asked her: ‘Why?’ “She said: ‘Your daughter slapped a boy in school’.

It is a bit strange so, I called Shaheeda and said: ‘Shaheeda, I heard that you slapped a boy in school. Why did you do it?’ “Then she said: ‘Dad, that boy has no respect for women’.

So, I asked her exactly what she meant by that. It turned out that one day, during prep in the afternoon, in full class, the boy had come to her, and put his finger to her forehead and pushed it backwards, and he was in the habit of doing it to all the girls in the class.

She had said nothing apparently and waited until the next day. She walked into the prep class late, the whole class was full, and she walked up to him, slapped him, and said: ‘That was for yesterday’.

So, long before we started talking about marriage and talking about whether when your husband slaps you, you should slap him back, Shaheeda had decided for herself that she would not take abuse, she would not take insult and she would not be disrespected by any man,” the Emir stated in the video message shortly before his daughter, Shaheeda read a prepared text.

Babymamas get better treatment than legitimate wives - Nigerian lady

A Nigerian Lady who resides in Anambra has responded to the popular slogan “Say No To Baby Mama.” She says, the baby mama cannot end because most men treat a “Baby mama” better than their wives.

Someone wrote “Say no to baby mama”
And I ask, should we now encourage abortion?
Well “baby mama” cannot end as long as most of them get better life for their babies from the baby daddies, more money, care, vacation name it than many legitimate wives.
Marry and treat your legitimate wife and children and stick your JT in between the legitimate owner’s legs only and there won’t be baby mamas.

Come and beat me.
