Anti-gay laws: Whoopi Goldberg tackles Jonathan

Artist, actress and humanitarian Whoopi Goldberg has told the Presidents of Nigeria and Uganda that they are on the wrong side of history for signing anti-gay laws.

The comedian released a video with the Human Rights Campaign as a message to President Goodluck Jonathan and  President Yoweri Museveni of Uganda.

The Nigerian anti-gay law bans gays from showing public affection. It also prohibits homosexuals from meeting in groups of two or more.

The law bans marriage or civil unions between people of the same sex, and criminalizes gay clubs and events. In the video, Goldberg told the two presidents that it isn't right to imprison a person for who they love.
