Women have been forbidden to wear trousers or expose their hair in
public in Akwaihedi community located at Nnewi South Local Government
Area of Anambra State, failure to comply with the law attracts a N50 000
fine, according to information Nigeria.
A
source close to Information Nigeria said that policemen could not carry
out their civic responsibility, because they were not allowed to enter
the community, because the monarch insisted that domestic issues were to
be handled by the traditional courts.
Members of the National
Youth Service Corps especially the females are mostly affected by the
law and have expressed their grievance towards it
