U.S. first lady Michelle Obama has turned 50 and will celebrate on Saturday with a birthday bash.

Details of the event have been closely guarded, but guests say they have been told there will be dancing.
The first lady tweeted a picture of herself on Friday holding up a card from AARP, an organization that lobbies on behalf of people who are over 50 years old.The first lady received an early birthday present from her husband, President Barack Obama -- time alone without the demands of children.
Mrs. Obama remained for an extra week in the Pacific island state of Hawaii, where the family had a two-week vacation over the Christmas holiday.
First Lady At Getting Older:
‘I Don’t Feel Much Differently’
The First Lady recently opened up to People about the big milestone, saying that she didn’t really feel much different.
“There are those times when your staff tell you they were born the year you were graduating from college. It’s like really, really? Really? That hurts,” she laughed. “But I don’t feel much differently than I did when I was younger. My message to women is to be healthy.”
On that note she was asked if she could be doing anything in 20 years, what it would be. “There’s this book we had on our coffee table of the 100 most beautiyfl places in the world. I thought one day, ‘I wante to lok at a spot and say, ‘Let’s go!’” she told the mag. “I want to see the places that make this planet beautiful. Many of those are right here in this country.”
Happy Birthday, Michelle!
