Jennifer Lopez reportedly asked advice from her ex-husband before she split from Casper Smart
Jennifer Lopez reportedly sought advice from ex-husband Marc Anthony before splitting with Casper Smart.
The 44-year-old singer allegedly turned to the actor, 45, with whom she has six-year-old twins Max and Emme, before she decided to call time on her two-and-a-half-year relationship with the 27-year-old dancer earlier this month.
A source told E! News: "One person she got advice from is her ex Marc (...) He's been supportive and great through this all."
However, despite their split, the On The Floor hitmaker is determined to stay friends with the choreographer as her kids have developed a bond with him.
The source explained: "She will definitely still keep things civil and actually still loves him. The hard part is the kids love him too. He has become a part of her family.
"It's not going to be one of those breakups where you never see them together again."
Meanwhile, in recent weeks, Casper has been accused of cheating on the star with transsexual bikini model Sofie Vissa, whom he met and exchanged sexual messages with online first.
However, Casper has denied the allegations and subsequent claims involving a second transgender model.
The former couple were first linked together in November 2011, just a few months after the singer split from Marc.

APC not deterred by Edo defections
Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomhole, accused some members of the State House of Assembly who recently defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) of collecting N50 million each from the ruling party.
Addressing youths during a peaceful protest to the Government House, he said government was undisturbed with the "shenanigans" of the defected lawmakers.
“I thank you for recognizing that we all went round to campaign for these people who have decided to sell their mandate for Naira and kobo. What is sickening is that they are young men who should be anxious to break from the past.
“However because they believed they do not have any chance of being re-elected in February next year, because they have either done two terms or because of their poor performance, they know their constituency will not re-nominate them, they now decided to benefit from the desperation in different parts of the country to sell their mandate for N50 million each," Oshiomhole said.
He alleged the defectors collected advance payment of N35 million and some were buying new vehicles and others are rebuilding their hotels.
"Suddenly money is flowing," he said.
The Governor said there was no cause for alarm because many of the defected lawmakers could not win election on their own merit in their own booth.
“They were voted for as ACN with the broom. If you were vote for as ACN, with the broom, how can you now go and replace it with an umbrella that is torn and abandoned. People with little minds will think that they can sell their constituents with thirty-five million or fifty million depending on when they will get their balance."
He added," As far as I am concerned, we are stronger. Edo politics will be cleaned up and the cleaning is already here” he said.
PDP and APC have both been hit by defections ahead of the next general election

Actor who named his twins "Nollywood and Hollywood" reveals why he did so
In a press statement sent to BON, the actor revealed why he named his babies - Nollywood and Hollywood.
Read statement below:
"The level of hypocrisy in Nigeria is just too high or how do I explain the attack I and my wife have received on different blogs for adding Nollywood & HOLLYWOOD among the names we gave our bundles of Joy : King Praise Micheal Victor Tochukwu Jesuogbo Iyinoluwa Hollywood & Queen Grace Michelle Victoria Peculia Chimamaka Jesukomeh Opeoluwa Nollywood .
I guess all those who condemned us have been so blinded by Hatred that they couldn’t see all other names but the HOLLYWOOD and Nollywood…Anyway thanks for noticing me my wife and our children, but What is really bad in those two names?
It always come with different interpretations depending on how every one percieve it from there stand point …..
Most people who criticise the names gave their reason , they said ;the two industries (HOLLYWOOD & NOLLYWOOD) are synonymous with immorality .
And I wonder if they are truly alright at all because if they are normal they will know that despite some of the negative reports from Nollywood,It is safe for Nigerians to declare Nollywood day because this is an industry that has consistently put our name in the world map and when you are fortunate to travel out of Nigeria.
Then you will realise we Nigerians are the only people that are not proud of NOLLYWOOD.If we choose to look inward then queations like ; where and What would have been of Names like,
Tonto Dike, Mercy Johson, Jim Iyke Kevin Ikeduba , Odun Adekola , in a country where unemployment is at it highest level.
I for one will still be in the back street of Mushin hussling or dead like 35 of my childhood friends who all died between 1990 – 1995 around wuraola in pako Eleja Area because they all decided to take the short-cut (armed robbery). But thanks to Nollywood, I am now Femi Ogedengbe! It is a pity that people will seat in the comfort of there homes, hide behind the freedom that such platform as Facebook and all other social network provide to judge the logic behind the actions of people they don’t know.
Here in Nigerian there is a town called Umuagwo & Umueke (descendants of snakes) and you don’t think that is weird enough but some of you whose family names are something around the neighbourhood of Esubiyi,Sango these and Ogun that Join in condeming a name that has its origin in such a vibrant industry as Nollywood that has engage more Nigerian youth in one way or the other and have helped in no small measure in putting smile on our collective faces unlike the Nigeria corrupt politicians who we shamelessly sing their praise ..
In as much as I appreciate everyone who congratulated me and my wife Nkechi Diane, the matter wey dey face Nigeria pass Femi Ogedengbe name pikinses Nollywood & Nollywood.
Abi Na bro’s Boko “insecurity” Haram we want talk about abi na corruorion we wan yan…In my little way I have addressed the issue of corrupt politician in my 1994 movie (Tear of the GHETTO)
What have you all done to show your displeasure ?
Nothing but you wan carry placards to protest my children names …..uncles and aunts make una park well oh …Long live Nigeria”
Read what "The Times" wrote about Tiwa Savage and her 'Wanted' video
International website, The Times, a few hours ago published a report on Tiwa Savage and it's on their front page!
Read the report below:
Nigerian pop star Tiwa Savage has copped lots of flak of late - and been called all sorts of names - for her latest, racy, music video.
But when she was named female artist of the year at Saturday's MTV Africa Music Awards, in Durban, she made a point of bringing out the one person who has supported her even when the video for Wanted (and Love Me, Love Me) attracted the disapproval of TV broadcasters and parents - her husband, Tunji Balogun. She spoke to The Times about the backlash against her, and the slut-shaming of other international female pop stars such as Rihanna, Miley Cyrus and Beyoncé.
"[Being sexual] is something we're comfortable with behind closed doors but very uncomfortable with in public," she said. "But, fortunately, as artists we have the platform to do things that a lot of people might not be able to do. I felt like I was at a stage in my life at which I was very comfortable in my skin.
"I'd worked on my body and I wanted to do a video that was pushing the envelope - that would have people talking and open up a conversation."
Savage was recently the subject of an open letter by a Nigerian housewife, who advised her "not to give in to the pressure of the 'sex sells' attitude in the music industry", and not to "add to the factors contributing to societal decadence", and even "I didn't want to say this, but a husband who truly loves you is supposed to protect his wares and not make you do whatever to stay in the public eye".
In the video she writhes and gyrates suggestively in a skin-toned onesie and gold high heels like Kelly Rowland in Lay It On Me.
Savage said her video was clearly rated for people over 18.
"I feel that while being a role model I also need to explore my life as a woman and target the adult market.
"There are a lot of people who love the video and are inspired. You learn you can't please everyone, so you do what feels right at the time."
She said she wasn't surprised that some broadcasters had censored the video.
"A lot of times you look at an artist and you think what they do on stage is their lifestyle, but just because we portray a certain thing on stage doesn't mean when we get off the stage we sleep with every guy we see," she said.
"It's just a persona. I don't think anyone can look at my life and see any scandal.
"That's what parents should be teaching their children. Whether Tiwa Savage does it or not, they will have access to certain things that are bad, so we need to teach them how to decide between good and bad."
