Jonathan Sacks Chief Of Staff Mike Oghiadome


President Goodluck Jonathan has asked his Chief of Staff, Mike Oghiadomhe to resign with immediate effect according to a presidency source.

Mr. Jonathan reportedly fired the Chief of Staff after security agencies revealed his deep involvement in the mega fraud at the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).

English gay footballer slams FIFA on Russia, Qatar


A leading figure within the English Football Association says she won't go to the World Cups in Qatar and Russia because of their anti-gay laws.

Casey Stoney, the England women's team captain, says FIFA has set the wrong example by awarding its showpiece men's events to those countries.

Stoney, who is gay, told the BBC: "I won't be going to Russia or Qatar to watch a World Cup because I wouldn't be accepted there."

Russia, which is currently hosting the Winter Olympics in Sochi ahead of the 2018 World Cup, has come under fire for a law banning homosexual "propaganda" aimed at minors. In 2022 World Cup host Qatar, homosexual acts are illegal.

Casey says it is "incredible that these countries get World Cups and Olympics."

Wizkid extends MTV Base chart reign


Wizkid has extended his run atop the MTV Base Official Naija Top Ten powered by Star Music chart with his hit song “Jaiye Jaiye.”

The BET Award winner is currently enjoying his second week topping the chart with his mega hit, Nigeria Entertainment Today reports.

Olamide’s “Turn Up” is still hungrily on the heels of Wizkid’s hit and stayed at number two for the second consecutive week.

P-Square’s Paul Okoye to get married in March


One half of the P-Square duo, Paul Okoye and his fiancée, Anita Isama, will get married in a traditional ceremony on March 22 in Port Harcourt, reports Daily Post

This was confirmed by P-Square’s publicist, Bayo Adetu.

According to Adetu the event will take place at the Aztech Arcum Events Centre, Port Harcourt, Rivers.

Paul and Anita, who have a son together, had their wedding introduction on Sunday in Port-Hacourt.

Nigeria’s Got Talent winners emerge


The dancing duo Robots for Christ have been voted as the winners of the second edition of Nigeria’s Got Talent.

The finale of the competition took place on Saturday and the artistic pair beat nine other finalists to the N10 million prize, Nigeria Entertainment Today reports.

Daniel ‘A-String’ Azuka, a singer and instrumentalist finished as the runner up, while drummer David Adekoya Aduragbemi was the second runner up.
