Nigerian actress, Olayode Juliana aka 'Toyosi' has denied reports stating that she had a rift with Funke Akindele-Bello of the popular Jenifa Diaries. 

 

LIB had last week broken the news that the two actresses had an altercation which brought about a rift between the two. However, Juliana took to her Instagram page denying the rift and her alleged permanent exit from the cast of the popular TV series'

The level of fakery in the Nigerian entertainment industry has been upped with another condescending act by another Nigerian celebrity in a failed bid to impress the general public.

Limpopo crooner, Kcee who is signed to Five Star music record label has been roped in an unbecoming act of Intellectual Property Theft.

 

The 38-year old showman was nabbed red-handed flaunting a picture of wads of dollar notes stolen from a random American man and giving the false impression that they belonged to him.

 

Kcee reportedly dug into the man's Instagram account (Vvs_uno) and downloaded a picture of dollar notes which he posted on the 12th of February, 2017.

 

The singer on Saturday uploaded the picture and he deceitfully captioned it; "No time, God I give you praise. Just for one day. #Desire #mrromantic #romanticcalls" only for the original owner to sound a strong note of warning to him.

Tiwa Savage explains why she can't stop being sensual in her performances

Multiple award-winning Nigerian singer, Tiwa Savage, has said that the desire for glamour and appeal is the reason entertainers cannot stop being sexual in their performances. 

She said this while addressing some pressing issues in the Nigerian music industry as a guest on an entertainment show hosted by Arise Television.

According to her, entertainers cannot be stopped from adapting sexual scenes in their stage-craft but can be regulated through appropriate guidelines provided by a competent body or authority.
She, however, disclosed that contemporary musicians were misunderstood in a similar way the late Afrobeat King, Fela’s dancers were misunderstood because of their sexual displays on stage.
Savage said: “There is no way a movie and entertainment will not have sexual scenes. You cannot stop an artiste from being sexual in entertainment

“The only thing we can do as Africans is to provide guidelines.
“When I performed initially in Nigeria, they screamed that it was too much; that it was too sexual. We are still fighting the same battle the Fela girls fought.
“Fela’s girls were misunderstood. What they did on stage was just entertainment.

“What they do on stage doesn’t mean that they are loose off stage. People say Fela is godfather but people forget the women that added glamour to Fela’s show.”

Microsoft founder Bill Gates, the world’s richest man, says that he did not permit his children to own a mobile phone until they turned 14.

 

Gates made the revelation during an interview on Thursday with the British newspaper, The Mirror. 

 

Not only does Gates force his kids to wait until age 14 to get a smartphone, but he also limits the amount of time they could use them before going to bed. Smartphones are also banned from the dinner table. 

 

"We often set a time after which there is no screen time and in their case that helps them get to sleep at a reasonable hour,’ he told The Mirror. Gates and his wife, Melinda, are parents to Jennifer, 20; Rory, 17; and Phoebe, 14. 

 

Despite the irony of Gates playing a pivotal role in the technological revolution of the digital age, he still thinks limits need to be in place for children.

"You’re always looking at how it can be used in a great way – homework and staying in touch with friends – and also where it has gotten to excess,’ he said of smartphones and social media. 

 

‘We don’t have cellphones at the table when we are having a meal, we didn’t give our kids cellphones until they were 14 and they complained other kids got them earlier.’

Big Brother Naija: Kemen explains in details what really happened that night with TBoss

Kemen is still speaking on what transpired between him and TBoss in the Big Brother Naija House. This time around, he spoke to Sunday Scoop and explained in details what actually went down under the sheets.

He said:

“I believe that Nigerians are very brilliant people and I’ve decided to care less about what is said on social media. The truth lies with me and Tboss. I want Nigerians to realise that the organisers know more than they do.
We are in a country where people have the freedom to express themselves and we’re all entitled to our opinions. Some people might see something as right while some other people might view the same thing as wrong, so it has been a battle of words.
“On that night, I slept before Tboss and I used the duvet that was on the bed to cover myself. When Tboss came to bed, she used the other duvet. When I wanted to go back to sleep, I attempted to cuddle her. In the course of doing that, I had to lift the duvet that was between us.
My hand movement that was seen on camera was me trying to make way through the duvet and get close to her. She woke up immediately I wrapped my hands around her; opened the duvet and adjusted her body so she could move closer to me. And that was where the video stopped.
Tboss always slept in a three-quarter short and a spaghetti top which she used as a nightgown. She is not a deep sleeper. She also has the highest stack of alcohol in her cupboard because she rarely drinks. On the night of the incident, I was not drunk, and I don’t think she was too, even though I cannot speak for her.”
However, I have chosen to move on from all that and focus on the positive gains of the game. I have put everything that happened behind me.”

Speaking on his relationship with Tboss, he said,

“Tboss is a great person and I would want to keep her as a friend. I don’t have any grudges against her and I don’t think I ever will. I am a strong and focused person. I’m extremely creative and I was able to show that while I was in the house. Nigerians are also going to see more of what I can do in a very short while. I will devote time to my fitness and entrepreneurial activities.”

Chris Attoh is too focused to be bothered about divorce rumours

Ghanaian Actor, Chris Attoh has declared he’s not bothered about the numerous online report that suggests his marriage to Nigerian actress, Damilola Adegbite has crashed. 

According to him, he was not perturbed about of the reports because his home is still intact. Myjoyonline reports.
Recall, in March this year, there were reports that Damilola had walked out of the marriage.
The divorce reports gained currency after Chris posted several photos of his wife on social media, wishing her a happy second wedding anniversary on February 14, but Damilola failed to respond or do same.
But putting to rest the numerous reports, Chris, in an interview with KMJ on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM said his wife “is wonderful,” and “she is currently in London. She just launched her Alpha Woman project,” which helps to empower women.
Asked about the numerous divorce reports, the ‘Shuga’ star noted that, “I don’t hear them, I don’t read them. I’m too focused, I can’t be too bothered with all these… what is important is in front of me.”
While many felt Damilola’s failure to comment on his wedding anniversary post on Instagram meant the marriage had hit the rocks, Chris noted, he got a perfect response from his wife.

“I got my response. The response doesn’t have to be on Instagram. I remember speaking to her that evening…” because I was in South Africa then, he stated.

He observed that their busy schedules do keep them apart but that hasn’t affected their marriage.

“Because of what we do we try to have time for each other as often as we can. It’s tough because sometimes I might be away for two, three months but that’s usually the interval. When she can come, she comes, when I can go, I go…”

Supreme Court bans Jehovah’s Witnesses (Details)

Russia’s Supreme Court has banned Jehovah’s Witnesses from the country.
The court made the decision after describing the group as an extremist organization.

Four former members of the Jehovah’s Witnesses had told a Russia’s Supreme Court how they were brainwashed by the church against receiving higher education or starting a family.

A wtiness, Natalia Koretskaya from St. Petersburg had told the court she had been a member of that organisation from 1995 to 2009 and had realised over this period that the organisation’s members “were living under full and total control of the [Jehovah’s Witnesses] Administrative Centre.”

“The heads of the Jehovah’s Witnesses formally watch canonical compliance with the norms but in real fact the talk is about total control of an individual’s personal life – his intimate life, education and work,” Koretskaya told the court.

Koretskaya said she had been expelled from the religious organisation and its members had been banned to communicate with her after she started close but officially unregistered relationship with a man.

“Therefore, a person turns out to be expelled into the outer world, in which he has already forgotten how to live over the years of his stay in the organisation,” Koretskaya added.

Justice Yury Ivanenko in his verdict on Thursday, said Russia had decided to close down “the administrative centre of Jehovah’s Witnesses and the local organisations in its fold and turn their property over to the Russian Federation.”

I Was Not Promoting Rape - AY Comedian Tenders Apology To TBoss And Nigerians

Following his massively successful comedy show, comedian AY has finally tendered an apology to Tboss over his delivery of jokes while on stage.

He shared a video of him performing and captioned it:

HERE IS PART 1 & 2 OF THE RAPE JOKE I SAID AT AY LIVE
I know a lot of people did not see the joke before lashing on me… and no amount of me trying to explain myself would do me any good which is why I am uploading it so Nigerians and indeed all fans of the AY brand will be fully informed.
I want to apologize to @officialTboss_, the entire Tboss nation and Nigerians who interpreted the joke to be promoting rape. It was never my intention to come across as a supporter of any form of assault to women.
I was only touched and inspired to share the joke when I learnt that Kemen came out alongside other church members when Pastor Paul Adefarasin asked those under immense pressure to the point of wanting to commit suicide to step out for prayers. Also coupled with the fact that he had personally apologised to Tboss after he was disqualified.
Like I said in the joke, I have a wife and a daughter, and I will never be in support of any such action that is designed to promote rape or any form of sexual assault that will demean womanhood.
