I DIDN’T KNOW SHAKE BODY WILL BE A HIT– SKALES

RAOUL John Njen-Njeng, simply called Skales, who was one of the guest artistes on Channels TV programme, Rubbin Minds, recently spoke on his hit song Shake Body, which according to him, made waves than he anticipated.

The rising star, who revealed that Timaya has always been his mentor stated: “I never had the plan to release ‘Shake Body’, but was advised to do so by DJ Kentucky after listening to it.

Also speaking on his private life, he said being business-oriented and having studied Business Administration in school, he needs to remain focused. And while some of his colleagues are busy having children, he is not ready to make his relationship with any lady public.

“I play safe. All my friends in the industry have kids. It’s safer to keep your private life private. Right now, I like to put my relationship in private,” he added.

The artiste, who revealed that he got signed to Empire Mates Entertainment (EME) record label, at the age of 15, left the label in 2014 following the expiration of his four-year recording contract, and established his own record label, OHK music in May 2014.

How we were paid N2,500 to bomb Yola Barracks - 4 kids arrested in Adamawa Reveal

Four kids aged between 9 and 15 were part of the perpetrators of the bomb attack that rocked the city of Yola, the capital of Adamawa State on Thursday.Punch gathered that the bomb, which occurred on Thursday close to a mechanic workshop along Numan Road, was in possession of four children. The children told the police that an unknown man gave them N2, 500 to carry out the attack.

 

According to the kids, Boko Haram insurgents instructed them to drop an explosive bag at a specific place in Bachure suburb, near the Army Barracks mainly inhabited by retired military personnel.

Two of the boys who were later arrested by the police said the bag containing the explosive was too heavy for them to carry, so they had to sell it to a dustbin scavenger, whom they ran into at the nearby mechanic workshop. The dustbin scavenger who was also arrested with the children has been helping the police with more information.

A resident, Abraham Tunoh, also confirmed the claim saying the bomb which occurred on Thursday was in possession of four children.

Cool fm presenter, Freeze drags wife, Tope to court

City People is reporting that Freeze has dragged his pretty wife of 13 years, Tope to a Lagos Court asking for the dissolution of their marriage and his wife is not objecting to it.

Their stormy marriage broke down irretrievably about a year ago when after several fights, the once happy couple who have 2 kids, have been having a rough time with their marriage, with endless stories of fights and abuses and it was after one of their fights that his wife Opeoluwa Olarinde who works with an Oil service company moved out of their matrimonial home.

They got married on February 2002, after a 3 year courtship. They started dating in their University days. Before filing for divorce many friends and family members had stopped in all to no avail. Even their church Pastor, Paul Adefarati wadded in but he could not reconcile them.

Since  the news of their separation broke  over a year ago,  there have been speculations about what might have triggered such a move by the once respectable couple.

A while back, Freeze,  addressed the issue online, mentioning possible reasons behind their decision to opt out of the union. “I am a separated father of 2 , who has been separated for a long time, seeking dissolution of my marriage citing irreconcilable differences. I have realized that silence breeds lies and confusion’.

Iara, the newly wedded wife of Adams Oshiomhole, governor of Edo state, has performed her first official role as the first lady of the state, less than 24 hours after her wedding.
Iara in the company of her husband presented trophies and medals to winners at the Okpekpe Road Race.

Tanui Aifele and Alex Korio both from Kenya, took the female and male titles of the 3rd edition of the 10 kilometer Okpekpe Road Race, after finishing in 33.34 and 29.20 minutes in their respective categories. As expected, Kenyans won three positions in the female category and two out of the first three in the male category. The winners in both categories went home with $25,000, $15,000 and $10,000 respectively.

Oh by the way Oshiomole participated in the annual 10kilometers Okpekpe road race alongside top Edo personalities, Nollywood artistes and others. Oshiomhiole, who ran within the 10km VIP category, said although he did not win the competition, his participation in the race showed he can still do what young people can do

“I worked hard but was not successful. To do 10 kilometers after the wedding assured me that I am capable and strong to what young people can do” he said.Get ready, Lara!

Unlike Buhari who ran four times before eventually winning, Peoples Democratic Party candidate, Jimi Agbaje has declared his intention not to contest again for the position of governor in Lagos after the losing twice.

Agbaje who lost to All Progressives Congress (APC) Party candidate, Akinwunmi Ambode with a 152,206 vote margin spoke to ChannelsTV correspondent this evening after his opponent was declared winner.
According to the PDP candidate, Lagosians have made their choice and there’s no reason whatsoever to resort to violence.
“I tried once before, this is the second one. I’m not running again,” he said. “If I can’t be of service as governor, there are other ways of serving the state. I will find other ways of serving.”
Agbaje, 58, called Ambode some minutes before 6pm on Sunday evening to concede defeat to the APC candidate.

Comedian Princess goofs at event, Helen Paul saves the day

 

Helen Paul and Princess need no introduction as they have planted smiles on the faces of Nigerians through their comedy acts.

 

But it seems Princess is losing touch in her bid to make people laugh. At a recent comedy show in Lagos, Princess was certainly not in her elements as she failed to make her audience laugh. She was on stage for about seven minutes or more but was not able to crack the ribs of the crowd. Some of her jokes bothered on her broken marriage and other problems she has faced in life and this irritated her audience. People barely smiled let alone laugh at her ‘dry’ jokes.

Satuday Beats overheard an irritated guest saying, “I cannot believe I paid to come to listen to someone else’s problems. She is not even funny. If she were selling clothes, I am sure she would do better by now.”

Another bored guest who couldn’t hide her irritation said, “If Princess should just twerk (dance) on stage instead of cracking jokes, she would do better even though it would not be a wonderful sight for the eye based on her stature,” she said.

But just as Princess left, petite comedian, Helen Paul, climbed on the stage. The difference was very clear as she turned the hall around and cracked so many ribs with laughter.

Ironically, Helen spent less than five minutes on the stage, cracked just three jokes and managed to resurrect the already bored audience.

After her performance, a lady in the audience said, “Shebi this is another female comedian that has made us laugh. She did not even stay as long as Princess. Princess needs to improve herself.”

It’s safe to say Seyi Shay is the most controversial female celebrity for 2015. We are only a few months gone into the year, yet she has made headlines a couple of times, sparking up controversies.
