Wale Gates pours cold water on Wizkid-Davido fire

Comedian Wale Gate tried to use words to douse the social media fire flaming between Wizkid and Davido..
The ‘beef’ wildfire started a few days back when what looked like a harmless tweet from Wizkid was followed with a cold and not-so friendly tweet from Davido, each artist avoided mentioning each other’s names.

Wale Gate made his point on the ongoing ‘war’ via his Twitter page by saying  “Sometimes you wish these artistes learn a little from the past, open beef between artistes is one of the fastest ways to kill a flourishing career.

"The problem with beef is that it starts to affect the type of music you make, from making feel good happy music, you start writing ‘war’ songs. I have been around long enough to know it is pointless and an unnecessary distraction, only the media gains, not even your fans.”

Beyoncé secretly house-hunting alone

Beyoncé is reportedly house-hunting without Jay Z.

The 32-year-old singer has fuelled rumours she and her husband are on the rocks after she was spotted secretly viewing a $21.5m Chelsea penthouse in Manhattan last month without her spouse knowing.

A source told the New York Post newspaper's Page Six column: "She was very quiet, as if she was looking on the sly."

The couple - who have two-year-old daughter Blue Ivy together - currently reside in a plush mansion in Tribeca, New York, and the insider believes it's highly unlikely the 44-year-old rapper would be downsizing to the 376m² apartment in Chelsea.

The source added: "I can say with certainty that Jay is not downsizing."

News that the Drunk in Love hitmaker, who married Jay in 2008, is looking for her own place follows recent reports that the pair's marriage is "crumbling".

A friend of the couple said previously: "Knowing them as I do, obviously there's a little something to certain reports. When your man or your woman isn't getting it done for you, and I'm talking emotionally, not necessarily sexually...they keep things quiet."

The duo are reportedly receiving marriage therapy while on their On The Run tour together but their sessions aren't proving a success as Jay allegedly prefers to spend his time on his phone.

The source added: "His phone's constantly ringing. Jay trying to make [business] deal after deal."
