"My annual salary is N2m' - Minister of State for Defence, Obanikoro

The Minister of State for Defence, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, while speaking on Channels TV's Sunrise Daily programme today, said he earns only N2million a year
"My annual salary is N2million, everything put together plus my allowances is N4million" he said.
The Minister also addressed the issue of the inaccurate information the military passed out about rescuing 103 girls last Wednesday, April 16. He said the communication system up north has been adversely affected since the insurgence started and that there must have been a mixup somewhere along the communication line. The Minister said instead of the public condemning the military, they should commend them for apologizing and retracting the misguiding information.

Deeper Life Secretary explains why Kumuyi ‘broke down’ during Easter Retreat

More revelations have emerged over the recent failing health of the General superintendent of Deeper Life Bible Church, Pastor William Folorunsho Kumuyi during the just concluded national Easter Retreat of the church.
According to Dailypost , the former university don broke down during the retreat and was forced to rest on Saturday after losing his voice the previous day.
Explaining why the preacher broke down, the church secretary, Pastor Jerry Asemota while addressing the congregation Saturday morning said the sudden health failure of the pastor was not unconnected to his recent marathon engagements across the continent.
According to Asemota, “With much pleading, we had to convince our pastor to rest. You could recall that lately, he was engaged in series of rival meetings across the continent. Only recently, he was in Abuja, Taraba, Bayelsa, Imo, Edo, Akure and Ibadan. He was also in Ghana, Namabia and Togo and other West African countries.
He’s human and needs to rest, so we enjoined you all to pray for God’s strength upon his life and bear with us at this time. He is not going on holiday but he needs serious rest. I am very sure that before the programmes end, your Pastor will bounce back to complete what he had started” Asemota assured.
Kumuyi who eventually bounced back during the last day of the retreat did not make any reference to his health condition during his ministrations.
However, he was seen very agile and vibrant during the last day of the power-packed programme.
The soft-spoken preacher in his last sermon entitled “Reigning Through the Victory of Jesus” said, once you have the vision with Jesus Christ, you can achieve anything.
Speaking from the book of Luke 6:19, Kumuyi said in these perilous times, one needs to make Christ his focus. According to him, holiness is important as without it, no man can see God.
According to him, after the programme, he went to the office of the state overseer for a meeting and in the process some persons brought three men on wheelchairs and dropped them behind his car.
“When I saw them, I told them in name of Jesus rise up and walk and I entered my car of drove off.
“Before we could reach the government house where we lodged, we received a call from them that they have started walking. That shows what God can do when you focus on him,” he told his congregation.

Nothing interesting about being married except that it saves you money' - 2Shotz

"I have learnt a lot of things they just never tell you. There is no interesting thing about being married except for the companionship and it saves you some money. You no longer have to eat out and you don’t have to spend money on a couple of girls. Now, it’s just your wife. It also prevents you from doing some things that are either promiscuous or unnecessary".His wife Precious also explained how they met on Twitter. People are really finding love on social media. Continue to read what she said...
Precious: I met him on Twitter. I can’t remember who followed who first, but I remember he put up a picture of his apartment and I commented without knowing who he was. He thanked me and we got talking. We moved the conversation from Twitter to phone, then to Skype. I was in Ireland, came to Nigeria for Christmas and we met in person.
How would you describe being married?
Precious: It has been good and different because you have this person who is always telling you what to do. It took me time to get used to having to submit wholly .In Ireland, I started making my own money at age 16 and by the time I was 18, I had my own apartment. I had become used to being independent.
Is there anything you would like to change about each other?
2shotz: Her mouth. You know how women talk, they are never satisfied.
Precious: That I don’t like certain things about him does not mean I can’t live with it. But I will like him to be less stubborn. He is an Igbo man who is deeply rooted in the Igbo culture which makes him think in a certain way. At times, he is not willing to bend the rules just to make it happen. I am just learning the values and tradition of my people.
Cool FM's Freeze wades into P-Square breakup, advises Lola Omotayo
So far, one thing we can deduce for sure in the ongoing P square war is the fact that family members are angry with Peter Okoye for marrying Lola and for always letting Lola dictate to him....thus they treat her with disrespect.
Of course, no real man will watch and let anyone disrespect his wife....so Peter took the bull by the horn and began demanding that his family members treated his wife aright.
This coupled with several other issues led to the Psquare qar.

The truth is, Peter has every right to defend his wife cos she stood up for him and stood with him when he was a nobody - one of the many things she did for Peter was revealed (here) in an exclusive interview withGenevieve magazine several months ago.
He even went as far as admitting that he wasn't ashamed the first time she visited him (HERE).
What really happened on the Wednesday Peter and Paul Okoye (Psquare) fought + Psquare's mum already envisioned this!

Okay, here's a quick update on the ongoing Psquare saga and it's according to Laila this time.
See how she reports it below:
"The supposed fight between Paul and Peter Okoye was actually started by their Personal Assistants (PAs). Jude's PA, Wande, had given money to Peter's PA to get his car registered but Peter's PA, Shege, instead of spending the money on what he was asked to use it for, allegedly spent it on something else.
This is a guy that reportedly, when Psquare's mum was still alive had also 'eaten' the money given to him to purchase a car for P square's mum.
So, Jude's PA was reportedly really angry when he found out his money was gone and the car wasn't registered. So, he stormed Squareville to confront Peter's PA. Along the line, they got into a heated argument and a fight broke out between the two of them.
Like real, serious, bloody fight. Things were so heated up that Peter allegedly came in, joined the fight and was about to hit Jude's PA with a pen when Paul reportedly jumped in, held his twin brother's hand to stop him.
In that rage, Peter allegedly swung his free hand and landed Paul a big blow that made him fall to the ground. I was told Paul didn't fight Peter back. Rather, their elder brother Tony allegedly pounced on Peter and started beating him. Anita, Paul Okoye's wife, witnessed this incident. I was told Peter wants to be incharge of their funds or get more money allegedly due to pressure from his wife. Jude has always been in charge and Paul wants it to stay that way. Then that the lawyer brought in to split their property came, no one agreed that this is yours, this one is mine, so the lawyer says he can't continue. At least for now.
Lola never visits Square ville cos she allegedly sees the family members as enemies, unlike Anita who freely visits regularly. Plenty other personal details. Some of you already have heard about Psquare's mum telling her sons that she sees them splitting if Peter weds Lola cos she reportedly saw in a dream where Peter was pursuing Paul with a fork to kill him. So much stuff, but let's leave it here for now. And pray for the family to get through this. "
Oh well!
Pastor Kumuyi collapses inside Deeper Life Camp

The General Superintendent of the Deeper Life church, Pastor W.F Kumuyi allegedly collapsed during the Easter retreat on Saturday.
He has since been rushed out of the camp and is now responding to treatment at the undisclosed hospital he was rushed to.
According to Dailypost, a reliable source said “Pastor Kumuyi could not take the morning Faith Clinic on Saturday because of his health condition. He broke down during the ongoing retreat and was rushed to the hospital, he is currently under treatment.
“We were told to pray for his strength, which we have been doing, but he didn’t minister throughout yesterday, a development which has sent every member panicking.”
“We were told to pray for his strength, which we have been doing, but he didn’t minister throughout yesterday, a development which has sent every member panicking.”
A dependable source in the church told Daily Post exclusively. He said there’s tension in the camp over the health of Kumuyi who broke down during the programme entitled: ‘Living in His Victory and Destined to Win.’
It was gathered that when it's his turn to Minister, they may rebroadcast his old message to the congregation.

DOYIN OKUPE RETRACTS MONUMENTAL BLUNDER!
Mr Doyin Okupe, needs no further intro, Doyin issued a retract on the abducted girls blunder and claimed the apology was personal and has nothing to do with the Federal Government! Yeah rite!! What a dumb statement from a hitherto respected intellectual, are you working for Oshodi Isolo local government??? Please spare us the rigmarole, fumble na fumble sikena!
Mr Doyin Okupe, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Public Affairs, yesterday took full responsibility for the misinformation on the 100+ abducted Government Girls Secondary students who were taken from their hostel on Monday 14th in Chibok, Borno state by Boko Haram men. He had issued a statement saying the military had released the girls. It was later found to be false. The girls are still missing.

"The Mistake I made" - Principal of the Northern school where girls were kidnapped by Boko Haram speaks!

Speaking with Associated Press reporter, Jon Gambrel, the principal said, “the insurgents arrived after midnight at her Government Girls’ Secondary School, wearing military fatigues and posing as soldiers.
She said she believed them when they told her that they needed to move the girls for their own safety.
So, she allowed the extremists posing as soldiers to load the students on to the back of a truck.
“It was only as the armed men were leaving, and started shooting, that she realized her mistake. The militants killed a soldier and a police officer guarding the school,” she said.
Meanwhile, there is confusion over the status of the girls said to have been rescued by the military on Wednesday. The school principal told Associated Press that the students were yet to be found.
“Up till now, we are still waiting and praying for the safe return of the students , the security people, especially the vigilance groups and the well-meaning volunteers of Gwoza are still out searching for them. The military people, too, are in the bush searching,” the principal, Asabe Kwambura, told The Associated Press by telephone.
She said only 14 of the 129 girls and young women kidnapped by gunmen before dawn Tuesday had returned to Chibok town - four who jumped from the back of a truck and 10 who escaped into the bush when their abductors asked them to cook a meal.
Major General Chris Olukolade, the Defence Ministry spokesman, had in a statement late Wednesday night, said that all but eight of the students had been accounted for. “The others have been freed this evening,” he said. He also said security forces had captured one of the abductors.

Shan George to be addressed as 'Pastor Chief Ambassador Shan George'
She expressed her disappointment on her Facebook page, saying “One of the biggest trends now is to add titles to one’s names. Dr, Ambassador, Chief, Engineer, High Chief, Double Chief etc.
In fact, it’s so bad that those who don’t have the chance to add any of the titles to their names have settled for Evangelist or Pastor. Well, starting from this moment, I shall be addressed as Pastor Chief Ambassador Shan George.”
Africa's richest woman, Folorunsho Alakija fights younger brother over wife
A few weeks back, Hakeem Ogbara, the younger brother of Africa’s wealthiest woman Folorunsho Alakija got married to his second wife, Folakemi Aladeniyi but his sister, Folorounsho Alakija was conspicuously absent.
The introduction cum nikkai which took place at Maryland, Lagos residence of the bride’s parents on Sunday, April 6, 2014, had in attendance all other family members of the Ogbaras, led by their patriarch, Chief Razak Ogbara and friends of Hakeem Ogbara.
Encomium Weekly gathered that Chief (Mrs.) Folorunsho Alakija’s absence was probably deliberate because she did not approve of it.
She was said to have vehemently opposed her brother having another wife when he should be consolidating his first marriage which is blessed with three children all of whom are grown up and university graduates.
Many believed that Chief (Mrs.) Folorunsho Alakija and her brother, Hakeem Ogbara, are too close for her to be present during the introduction/nikkai ceremony of his second marriage.
Some people were also of the opinion that she did not approve of the marriage because she did not like the lifestyle of Folakemi Aladeniyi, who is said to be a businesswoman, who travels abroad particularly to Dubai to buy goods which she sells in her shop at Alade Market, Ikeja, Lagos.
Encomium Weekly also gathered that Hakeem, who is the Managing Director of Hakoy Integrated Services, a business consultancy firm did not inform his first wife, Adenike Idayat Ogbara aka Iya Fali, of his intention to get married to a second wife until after the introduction ceremony of Sunday, April 6, 2014.
As expected, she (Adenike) has shown displeasure of her husband’s betrayal. Folakemi, the second wife, who had a child from her previous relationship is said to have adopted a muslim name, Hakeemat.
Hakeem Ogbara, who is said to be in his early 50s, is the last child of Chief (Mrs.) Folorunsho Alakija’s late mother’s six children.
