OJB hits at D banj for not denying rumours that he donated N7million to him.

OJB Jezreel is finally back in the business  of entertainment. Earlier this year before travelling to India for his medical treatment… he picked on D’banj for not speaking out when it was rumoured he had given him, OJB the sum of N7 million when it was totally not true. He expressed his sadness that the Kokomaster never attempted to set the record straight.

During an interview with Inspiration FM’s Gloria Maduka, he revealed his mind and said:

“The most disappointing one for me is D’banj because he passed through my hands, he was trained under my tutelage. That is offensive. I don’t care if you’re with Kanye West, you can’t forget your root. I won’t call anybody else’s name but I will call his because it hurts. His own hurts very deep. And he never tried to reach out to me. It’s not like we parted on fighting terms.

He told me he had to go to London and he went. And when he came back it was Don Jazzy, and I said OK, that’s fine. And what he did worked and I’m very proud of him, the love, that’s why it hurts more. He should have come out to say no, I don’t know why you people are saying all this, I didn’t give OJB N7million, maybe a part of him felt embarrassed because at the end of the day, really, are you not supposed to do something?”

Morgan Freeman’s Image Mistakenly Placed on Nelson Mandela Tribute Billboard

Do you know ever since the Hollywood actor, Morgan Freeman took on the role of Mandela in the sports drama biopic “Invictus” in 2009, has been mistaken for the former president of South Africa several times.

                   

This time Freeman's image was used on a public sign in India that was intended to honour the late world leader.

The sign was placed in the city of 

Coimbatore, and a local merchant shouldered all the expenses of getting it made.The same merchant also plans to pay to get the correct image placed on the sign.

“We will replace it with the correct picture of Mandela,” the local cloth merchant told reporters.

Now, to the father of all beef when it comes to the headies award, he is no other person than DJ Timmy. He is so bitter and has literary eaten up the organizers of the award in his rage.

He said, ‘Let me start by saying I am not just disappointed in you but u have just proved to us that Nigeria is not getting better any time soon. You have been manipulated by a greedy and hopeless telecommunications company (MTN) because they sponsored your event and you forgot the ultimate rule that awards are meant to be impartial and should be decided by the general public especially when u told us to vote. You distributed the awards among four MTN ambassadors (Iyanya, Davido, Praiz, and KCee) and just one Glo ambassador won (Waje). Is that not politics or is it coincidence? Now let us analyse…’

He said the award was a flop, the stage of the event was like the models runway, their choreographers lacked ideas and couldn’t even interpret the music, ‘…Who on earth uses the Mavin slaves -Dr Shit popularly called Dr Sid and Tiwa Gabbage knows as Tiwa Savage as anchors of an event? Oh I forgot, the awards lacked credibility and substance.’

Banks in the U.K to accept smartphone photos of cheques

Plans have been announced to allow bank customers to pay cheques into their account by taking photos on their smartphones.

Rather than go to the bank in person, customers will be able to photograph the cheque, and send it electronically.

The government is to launch a consultation on the idea, with a view to making the necessary legal changes.

PROF. WOLE SOYINKA DAUGHTER DIES.

Iyetade Soyinka, a daughter of Nobel laureate Wole Soyinka, has died. Ms. Soyinka, who was born June 6, 1965, died at the University of Ibadan Teaching Hospital where she was being treated for an undisclosed ailment.

The death was disclosed in a statement signed by Jahman Anikulapo, an aide to Mr. Soyinka, one of the world's foremost dramatists and winner of the 1986 Nobel Prize in literature. The statement noted that the late Iyetade Soyinka was a student at the Staff School and Queens School, Ibadan before she studied Medicine at the University of Ibadan.

Mr. Anikulapo's statement described the deceased as "affable, intelligent and sometimes capricious," adding that she "struggled with her health in recent years." Despite her health woes, the late Iyetade Soyinka "greeted every day with a smile and doted on her two children."

The statement, which was issued on behalf of the deceased's family, revealed that Ms. Soyinka "took ill quite suddenly and passed away while being treated at UCH, Ibadan.

"Iyetade leaves behind two children, both parents, numerous siblings, nieces and nephews."

No funeral arrangements were announced in the statement. SaharaReporters was unable to reach Professor Soyinka before press time.

Burna Boy storms out of the Headies award venue after loss to Sean Tizzle.

                     
The next rated award at the Headies award comes with a brand new ride and seems to be one whom every new artist looks forward to getting for himself.

At this year's award, Sean Tizzle picked the award and got the keys to a Hyundai Tucson SUV. Shockingly, as soon as Sean Tizzle was announced as the winner, Burna Boy left the venue, telling photographers not to take photos of him.

Some industry insiders at the event were overheard saying Burna Boy deserved the award more than his fellow nominees including Sean Tizzle, Dammy Krane, Seyi Shay and Phyno.

It has also been speculated that Burna Boy didn't win the award because he is a GLO ambassador and the awards show is sponsored by a fellow telecommunications company MTN Nigeria

APC will teach PDP a bitter lesson says Rotimi Amaechi.

Governor of Rivers State and chairman of Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi has said the All Progressives Congress (APC) would teach the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) a hard political lesson next year. He spoke at a media interaction in portharcourt.

 He said: “Most of you may have known that I have since left the PDP to a better party called the All Progressives Congress because the fact remains that PDP is a drowning party. Last weekend, PDP members of the House of Assembly in Kaduna State and party officers left PDP to APC. How can party officers and members of the House of Assembly be leaving for another party if they are comfortable?

 “In Zamfara State, members of the House of Assembly, who are of the PDP, have moved to the APC. Unless they (PDP) rig election or sit down and announce result, it will be a difficult call for the PDP to win this country. But that is not the reason why I left and that is not the reason why the five of us left. I can assure you that more governors will leave. They are quite uncomfortable; they need to take some shots to come out and by God’s grace, they will come.


“For me, bad governance was one of the reasons why I left the PDP. I have been shouting and the PDP does not care. But this is the first time they will care. You cannot say it’s opposition because we are gradually forming government. We have taken over House of Representatives and before March, I bet you, we will take over the Senate. Just watch out. The pressure will mount so much that you will see people move from the PDP into APC.



“For now, it is narrowing down closely on a daily basis. Watch out before March if we don’t have the numbers that we are looking for. So, you can’t call us opposition anymore because there are three arms of government and only two are electable; the executive and legislature.

A poker player who left $300,000 in the back seat of a Las Vegas taxi made good on his promise this week, handing over a $10,000 reward to the honest cabbie who returned the stash.Yellow Checker Star Cab Company CEO Bill Shranko confirmed Friday that Gerardo Gamboa had been paid by the poker player. The cab company also honored the driver’s good deed by naming him employee of the year, awarding him $1,000 and giving him a gift certificate to a Las Vegas steakhouse.It’s unclear how Gamboa plans to spend the belated Christmas gift. He did not immediately return a call from The Associated Press on Friday.The tale, was first reported by the Las Vegas Review-Journal, started Monday when Gamboa made a pickup at the Bellagio casino. A hotel doorman noticed a brown paper bag on the back seat and handed it to him; Gamboa thought it was candy.The driver said he had another passenger by the time he began wondering what kind of chocolates were in the brown paper bag. He peeked inside at a traffic light and spotted the cash.“I told my passenger, ‘You are my witness on this,’” the 13-year taxi driver told the Las Vegas Sun, “and then I immediately called my dispatcher.”Gamboa took the six bundles of $100 bills to the company’s main office, where Las Vegas police and casino officials linked it to the poker player.It took several hours to verify the identity of the owner and return the cash. Edo state Governor Adams Oshiomole survived car accident.

The Governor of Edo State, Comrade Adams Oshiomole survived a car accident on Saturday morning. The crash occurred at Ewu village along the Benin-Auchi road.

A Peugeot J 5 bus carrying tomatoes and plantains apparently lost control and rammed into the Governor’s Flag Car from the opposite direction before swerving into a roadside ditch.

Three vehicles in the Governor’s convoy were in front of the Governor’s Flag Car and had passed the Peugeot J5 Bus before it had direct impact with the Governor’s car, which had the Governor, his Aide-De-Camp [ADC] and his Driver as occupants.
