D'banj make plans to sue UK tabloid
Music superstar, Dbanj has concluded plans to sue a UK based tabloid, Daily Mail for describing him as a ‘legendary womanizer’ in an article written about his “alleged” affair with American Actress Kenya Moore.
The entertainer not only rubbished the report, but stressed that his legal team has completed plans to sue the tabloid for defamation.
“It is a rumor. The story has no substance. I’m even about going to sue UK daily mail for the defamation of character. I’m discussing with my legal team. They didn’t hear from me.
Everything they wrote is totally wrong. They defined Koko master wrongly. I think they wanted to talk about Kenya Moore, who was a former Miss America, but they didn’t get their facts right. Everything they wrote was false. They are going to hear from my legal team, soon.” He told Encomium magazine.

Album of unheard Michael Jackson songs to be released in May
Eight previously unreleased songs by the late Michael Jackson will be part of a new album, Xscape, the singer's estate and Sony Music Entertainment's Epic Records said on Monday.
The songs were unearthed from Jackson's archive of recorded material by LA Reid, the chairman and chief executive of Epic Records. Xscape will be released on 13 May.
The new album is the latest venture for Jackson's estate to capitalise on the posthumous popularity of the King of Pop.
Jackson died in 2009 at age 50 in Los Angeles from an overdose of the powerful anaesthetic propofol given to him by his personal physician while he was rehearsing for a series of 50 comeback concerts in London.
The unreleased tracks have been re-produced by the likes of present-day hitmakers Jerome "Jroc" Harmon, who has helped produce hits for Beyoncé and Justin Timberlake, and Norwegian duo Tor Hermansen and Mikkel Eriksen, who work under the name Stargate and have produced hits for Rihanna and Selena Gomez.
Top pop producers Rodney Jerkins and John McClain were also enlisted to make the songs sound contemporary in style, Reid said.
One of the songs is called Xscape, which was taken for the album title to continue Jackson's tradition of using a one-word song title on the album for its name, Reid said.
The age of the material or the remaining song names have yet to be released. Hip hop and pop producer Timbaland will be executive producer of the album.

MTN sacks 252 workers
Dwindling revenues appear to be taking their toll on operators in the telecommunications sector with the loss of more than 2 250 jobs in recent days.
While Etisalat sacked 2 000 workers last week, MTN has announced that 252 engineers have been relieved of their jobs.
Explaining its decision to terminate the employment of the workers, Etisalat said their services were no longer needed in the company.
"Etisalat Nigeria would like to state that there have been recent changes within the organization. Due to these changes, the services of some staff were no longer required.
“We would like to reaffirm that, as responsible corporate citizens, we remain committed to growing and developing our people in line with our core values,” the company said in a statement.
On its part, MTN said the affected engineers were left out following a recent managed services contracts it entered with global telecommunications solutions providers, Ericsson and Huawei.
The contract according to the company, would see Ericsson and Huawei managed MTN infrastructures including base stations while MTN focuses on it core business of providing mobile services.
The company said it took the decision to focus strictly on areas that would directly impact on its operations, while outsourcing ancillary services to independent service providers.
MTN further explained that it was facing the challenge of not only stagnating revenues but also increasing operating expenses.
It however said that some workers had been absorbed by Ericsson and Huawei.
The fate of the other workers is unclear as a source in the company explained that they might have decided to leave outright rather than transfer their services to other companies.
The source also said that 20 unengaged workers may have fallen short of the requirements of Ericsson and Huawei.
MTN Spokesperson, Funmi Onajide, declined to give further details on the issue.

Aww!

While many of the passengers were praying against a crash - to have a safe trip and touch down at their destination in peace, a certain young man, was busy crafting out plans to propose to his woman.
He was given a different seat from his fiancée on the trip but that didn't stop him...he walked down to hers, brought out a ring, popped the question, got everyone aww-ing and clapping and embraced his woman!

Rape saga continues! Obesere releases photo of the alleged victim in new video
To further prove his innocence about the rape allegation leveled against him by one Ms. Olanike Olaiya, a couple of weeks back, Obesere, has released a video CD, titled 'Rape Scandal' - it has been in circulation since its release on Monday, March 17, 2014.
So far, the CD has sold thousands of copies!!!
“Obesere has released the video CD which explains better what actually transpired between him and his accuser, Nike Olaiya. I learnt the CD has sold thousands of copies. Everybody wants to see the face of the girl. I also learnt that some music promoters and marketers have been lobbying Obesere for the musical video of the incident, which I learnt may be released before the end of the second quarter of the year. But I think Papa is just waiting for the outcome of the police investigation before going to the studio for the album.” a source tells Encomium.
On the reason he churned out the CD, Tosibe king, as Obesere is fondly addressed, told Encomium that “I want people, especially my fans, to get a clearer picture of what really happened between myself and Nike Olaiya.
Also, the inclusion of Alhaja Bola Omo Owo’s interview in the video is to let the public know that I have nothing to hide. I am sure everybody can recognize me, but I want people to also see the face of Alhaja Omo Owo so that they will all know she’s not a fake person. Rape Scandal was produced to explain everything in detail. It wasn’t for monetary reason, but all of a sudden, everybody keeps requesting for a copy.
“By now, Nike should just come out and defend herself. Her picture is also on the jacket of the CD. Everybody knows that Papa can never rape and that will never happen. I believe that won’t be the first time Nike will be swindling men. It’s God that exposed her. That’s why she is running up and down. Everybody has seen the face of a scammer. Very soon, she would show up or be fished out.”
Reacting to the development, Olaiya (the alleged victim) said, “Let them go ahead with their video CDs. If they like, they should come out with 10 of such, it doesn’t bother me. Very soon, the whole world will know the truth. All I know is that sinners won’t go unpunished. But I thank God I am okay now.”

OMG! POLICE SHUT DAVIDOs CONCERT IN NEW YORK!
We have two versions of the collapsed show! Below was sent to us direct from New York! The second herein is a press report. Up to you to believe whichever!
Contrary to what Davido tweeted some minutes, that his concert in New York was shut down by the New York PoliceDepartment because of the too much love and support he got from fans, a lot of angry fans have taken to Twitter,Instagram to blast the singer, hurling insults at him for a messed up concert. With some thinking of demanding a refund.
According to one of them, Ronke:
I guess we all should have known better. He’s 21 and he went on stage high and intoxicated! Where they do that at? I’m not an artist and I understand that they do need a little extra something to perform infront of a huge crowd but dude was out of it. I thank God I never waste good money on an outfit for that bastard!
Second Report!
The Police in the United States of America on Friday shut down the much anticipated concert in New York, United States of America by David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido.
The seasoned artiste, while expressing his displeasure via Tweeter few hours ago, didn’t give reasons why the concert was halted but felt so bad for not performing.
Shortly before the final closure, Davido’s fans were reportedly trouping to The Pulse 48, the venue of the concert, tagged: New York Spring Mega Concert, before the news hit them that the concert had been cancelled.
Sources said several Nigerian happening crowd in New York left the venue in annoyance after waiting endlessly for the Omo Baba Olowo crooner.
