Comedian 'I Go Dye' Becomes UN Ambassador

Francis Agoda aka 'I go dye' has been made a United Nation millennium development goal Ambassador.

The Global Educators for all initiative bestowed this honor on 'I go dye', who is one of Africa's Funniest comedian, in recognition and mandate to continue to facilitate the realization of the United nations (MDGs)This Initiative is a Global recognition to individuals who have championed and enhanced through their work the overall development of humanity, based on selfless services, creativity and compassion towards human development.

'I go dye' has been committed to philanthropic gestures, also advocating a non-violence approach to youths in Africa inspiring youths and advocating for good leadership towards the eradication of poverty.According to him Nigerian leaders need to create opportunities for the betterment of the youths in terms of gainful employment and economic opportunities.

"I feel honored by all this, but it will be more gratifying to me when I see our leaders create opportunities for youths to be gainfully employed; because as at today, millions of Africans are suffering, and faced with uncertainty."The future seems vague and no hope in sight."Until this personal desire of a better Africa is achieved; my heart knows no profound Happiness; because someone is still sleeping without a meal."

But with this recognition, it shows that my work is not in vein. I Thank God for giving me this talent that is inspiring others and also to my fans all over the world who has been supporting me with their prayers and love. Gunmen shoot Jonathan’s official photographer .

President Goodluck Jonathan’s official photographer, Mr. Callistus Ewelike, was on Monday night shot by unknown gunmen in Abuja.

Ewelike, a photojournalist with the News Agency of Nigeriais attached to the State House, Abuja, and he is currently acting as the President’s official photographer.

The father of two was reportedly shot at a close range in front of his house in Nyanya in the outskirts of the Federal Capital Territory, between 10pm and 11pm.

He was said to be returning to his house after filing the photographs he took during Jonathan’s visit to Shape Community in the FCT, where the President inaugurated the Operation Light Up Rural Nigeria Project when the incident happened.

An eyewitness told ststed that the attack was carried out by two men on a motorcycle.The eyewitness said, “The two men were apparently waiting for him at his residence. While one of them was on the motorbike, the guy who pulled the trigger was standing, waiting for him.“As the victim parked his car and was making his way into his house, the armed man shot him in the neck at a close range. The gunshot attracted some residents of the area, so the two men quickly sped off on the motorbike.”

No personal belonging was stolen from the victim.

Ewelike was rushed by his neighbours to the National Hospital, Abuja, where medical doctors as of Tuesday were attending to him.

A source in the hospital said the x-ray conducted on the photographer showed that the bullet that entered through his neck was lodged at a spot close to his shoulder.
Armed men had also visited Ewelike’s residence few weeks back.

They left with his working tools, including his camera and a laptop and a few other personal effects.

Obasanjo calls for prayers over 2015 elections

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo on Tuesday urged Nigerians to keep fasting and praying ahead of the 2015 elections, saying that only God has power to appoint leaders.

Obasanjo said this when the National President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, Dr. Felix Omobude, paid him a courtesy visit in his Abeokuta, Ogun State, home.
According to him, Nigeria is God’s project and as such the nation will overcome all its challenges no matter how insurmountable they can be.Obasanjo said,
 “If there is anything that I would ask of you, it is that you should never stop fasting and praying for Nigeria. I always say that I’m an incurable optimist about this country.

“In my short span of life, I have seen a few unexpected things in this country when we thought that the end would just happen, but God made us to scale through.“I personally never thought we would have a leader like (late Gen. Sani) Abacha in this country, I was a victim of his despotism but God saw us through that situation.

“There iss no situation we see or worry about that God will not see us through. That is my belief and that is what gives me confidence, it gives me courage, it gives me the ability to work for the country’s unity.

“No matter what is happening, to me and the country, all will be well. And those of you who believe all will be well for Nigeria should continue to shout Hallelujah. God has done it for us.”

The former President, while alluding to his years in the military, expressed optimism that Nigeria would remain united and indivisible.

'Britain’s Next Top Model' finalist, Eku Edewor has said that there was no time she fought with her former co-presenter, Dolapo Oni.

There have been rumour that the duo fell apart due to strains in their relationship.
For the ardent viewers of MNET's Studio 53 Extra programme, Edewor and Dolapo held their viewers spellbound when both anchored the show, but now, Dolapo is no more presenting the show with Edewor.

Speaking on Rubbin' Minds on Channels TV recently, Edewor, who has now ventured into Nollywood and stage drama, disclosed that she had a real bonding with Dolapo while they both worked together.

She explained that since they both had different activities they were involved with, in pursuit of their dreams, they had to make such dreams come true, which resulted into Dolapo leaving.

Kim was swarmed by the paparazzi when she tried to walk into a Beverly Hills medical facility for an appointment, and the 18-year-old teen claimed he was just trying to help her by yelling at the photogs and using the N word!

Kim, who’s CLEARLY in a relationship with a black man, politely asked the man to stop using that word out of respect for her and her family but that only made things worse. The man shockingly started yelling at Kim, saying, “F**k you b***h. Just trying to help you. Shut up n****r lover, stupid sl*t.”

Sack Me If You Can, PDP Chairman Bamanga Tukur Dares President Jonathan .

The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, has challenged President Goodluck Jonathan to remove him from office if he can.

Tukur's outburst followed the refusal of members of the party's National Working Committee to attend a meeting he called at the party's secretariat in Abuja last Wednesday.

The Adamawa State born politician, who is growing isolated at the top levels of the party where he is being held responsible for its dwindling influence and the defection of members, was infuriated by the attitude of his fellow national officers.

He told reporters that he can only be removed from office through a properly conducted National Convention and that unless and until that takes place, nobody, including President Jonathan can remove him.

The National Chairman also dismissed the allegation that he has been asked to resign by the President, and accused the opposition of planting the story to create disharmony in the party.
"I am an elected National Chairman, I have my certificate of return, I cannot resign," he bragged. "The convention brought me, so it has to take the convention that brought me for me to resign.So, not even the President can ask me to resign. Remember, some members of the NWC were asked to go recently because the election that brought them was flawed, so Mr. President cannot tread that route again."
