Former US 1st lady, Babara Bush has been Hospitalised.
Former US first lady Barbara Bush has been hospitalized in Houston, Texas, for treatment of a “respiratory-related issue,” a family spokesman said Tuesday.
Bush, 88, was admitted Monday at Methodist Hospital, spokesman Jim McGrath said in a written statement.
“She is in great spirits, has already received visits from her husband and family, and is receiving fantastic care,” the statement said. “Updates will be issued when warranted.”
CNN was first alerted to Bush’s hospitalization by tweets from affiliate KPRC.
Her husband, George H.W. Bush, was the 41st President of the United States. He also served as vice president for two terms under President Ronald Reagan.

Africa’s richest black man, Aliko Dangote, has sparked a frenzy on Twitter, with thousands of followers ecstatically welcoming him to the social network.
Dangote joined Twitter yesterday and as at 9 O’Clock this morning, the Nigerian business mogul had 17,888 followers – out of which some 13,200 started following him even before he made his first tweet.
Dangote, President/Chief Executive of Dangote Group and philanthropist, used his inaugural tweet to welcome everyone into the New Year and encouraged his followers to keep the conversation going.
He tweeted: “Glad to be on Twitter. Wishing you all a prosperous New Year. Stay positively committed to achieving your dreams, nothing is impossible” January 1, 2014.
Dangote, for now, is following on seven people – both individual and corporate. They are Kofi Annan Foundation of former UN Secretary-General and Nobel Peace Prize laureate Kofi Annan; Jeff Immelt, Chairman & CEO of General Electric; Jack Welch, Author, Commentator, and Executive Chairman of the Jack Welch Management Institute; Gordon & Sarah Brown; the World Economic Forum; Bill Gates; and Dangote Group.

''As a result some of the livestock escaped and ran wild around the farm.''It caused hours of commotion trying to round them up.''And the 'Diamonds' hitmaker left her loved ones hysterical with laughter as they witnessed her attempts to recapture some escaped pigs and chickens.

Khloe Kardashian is reported to still be in "constant contact" with Lamar Odom.The Keeping up with the Kardashians star filed for divorce from the troubled sportsman - who was accused of cheating on her and being addicted to cocaine - earlier this month but is still giving him her support as he tries to stay sober.
However, friends of the former couple - who were married for four years - insist they have no plans to get back together.One insider told RadarOnline.com:
"Khloe has been in constant contact with Lamar daily since filing for divorce ... she is making sure he is taking care of responsibilities with his DUI, and meeting with his trainer.
"It's definitely a mother-son type of relationship. APC SET TO TAKE OVER LEADERSHIP OF THE HOUSE OF REPS.
The All Progressives Congress in the House of Representatives has shared out the leadership positions in the House to its members as part of plans to assume full control of the legislature in the New Year.
The APC, formerly in the minority, outgrew the majority strength of the Peoples Democratic Party after 37 PDP lawmakers defected to it on December 18.
The development gave the country’s main opposition party a slim majority advantage of 172 members over PDP’s 171 in the House that has 360 legislators.
Findings indicated on Tuesday that with about 40 more PDP lawmakers expected to join the APC before the end of this month (January), the opposition party would be in a comfortable majority (212) to assume the leadership of the House.
“The only principal officer whose seat is guaranteed for now is the Speaker, Mr. Aminu Tambuwal,” said a reliable House source in Abuja on Tuesday.
According to the source, the APC members collectively resolved that Tambuwal would continue to lead the House.
He said, “We have long resolved that Tambuwal will remain the speaker even in an APC dominated House until he decides to dump the PDP for the APC. For the other positions, we are taking over. We are electing a new deputy speaker also.”

Federal Government bars airlines from Maiduguri airport.
The Federal Government of Nigeria has barred airlines from flying into the Maiduguri airport until March 2014.
This following a Notice to Airmen sent by the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency to airline operators, the carriers were told that the airport would no longer be available for flights until March 2014.
