The Lagos Government says the suspects, who were arrested in connection with the torture of two women in Ejigbo area of the metropolis, will soon be charged to court.
Ade Ipaye, the State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, disclosed this to newsmen in Lagos.
Ipaye said the government was waiting for the police to conclude their investigations to enable them to file criminal charges against the suspects.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the women were tortured by a group of men for allegedly stealing pepper.
The victims were said to have been beaten, while one of them later died.
Eight suspects have been arrested in connection with the incident which drew public outrage after it went viral on the internet.
