Ban of Banky W, Olamide and others, artistes plan to react.



The recent ban of some artistes in the music industry by the  Nigerian broadcasting corperation NBC, is about to take a different dimension as the the artistes are threatening to fight back.




Banned artists include 2face Idibia, D'banj, Omawumi, Onyeka Onwenu, Iyanya, Olamide, Dr Sid, Sammie Okposo, Banky W, Wizkid and other up coming acts.

The artistes are threatening to massively boycott upcoming events to be organised by members of 
Broadcasting Organisations of Nigeria (BON), Independent Broadcasting Association of Nigeria (IBAN) and the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) if the situation is not resolved by the NBC. 

The copy rights society of Nigeria (Coson) to which these artistes belong is only asking for copyrigts Royalties.

  6. The stations are making money because people listen to their stations because of music of these artistes and the stations get adverts. So let them pay royalties

    1. They are damanding payment of royalties from radio and tv stations. Those ones say they won't pay.
