Blac Chyna’s Lawsuit Against Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner Suffers Major Set back

Blac Chyna’s lawsuit against  Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner has been tossed out by a judge. Chyna sued the duo claiming they axed her reality show, but the judge sided with the Kardashian’s and dismissed them from the case!
According to TMZ, Chyna’s lawyer, Lisa Bloom, went head to head with the Kardashian’s lawyer, Shawn Holley, in court Thursday.
The judge dismissed all of Chyna’s claims . She claimed that E! dropped her show because the Kardashian’s painted her out to be an unfit mother. The judge openly expressed that he doesn’t even watch the show but said it’s basically hard to believe that E! wouldn’t do a show where the mom is unfit…because it would even spell more ratings for them.
The judge did give the opportunity to go back to the drawing board and try again.

Reekado involved in N2m wedding fee scandal (details)

There are reports that Mavin Records singer, Reekado Banks, collected two million naira to perform at a wedding ceremony in Benin but refused to come.
GoldmyneTV learnt that the party involved had taken the matter to the Police Station in Ogba, Lagos.
It was reported that after the wedding, the OAP and comedian, Uwa Idahosa, who contracted Reekado Banks for the job, demanded a refund. But the singer, through his manager, Temi, said they could only refund N800,000, saying they incurred logistics expenses as well.
It is gathered that Uwa Idahosa, Temi and relatives of the couple had been invited to the police station to explain what went wrong.
Ayoleyi Hanniel Solomon (born 6 December 1993), better known by his stage name Reekado Banks, is a Nigerian recording artist, singer and songwriter.
He is currently signed to Mavin Records. He went by the stage name Spicy prior to his record deal with the aforementioned label. Reekado Banks was declared the Rookie of the Year at The Headies 2014, and won the controversial Next Rated award at The Headies 2015.
His debut studio album, Spotlight, was released on 1 September 2016. It debuted at number 10 on the Billboard World Album Music Chart.
Reekado Banks is the last child of a music-loving family. His father is a pastor from Ondo State[5] and his mother is a caterer. Moreover, his elder brother is a producer and his elder sister is a gospel singer. He grew up in a disciplinarian setting due to both of his parents being pastors.
He completed his secondary school at the age of 14, and started recording his first set of songs in 2008. His elder brother produced all of his earlier songs and tutored him on the rudiments of singing, writing and producing. He derived the stage name Reekado Banks by combining the meanings of the two names; the former part of his stage name translates to “strong ruler”, while the latter part loosely translates to “wealth”.
In 2014, Reekado Banks graduated from the University of Lagos with a degree in History and Strategic Study.
He has cited Don Jazzy, 2face Idibia, DJ Jimmy Jatt, Olamide and M.I as his key musical inspirations.

Update: Alex Sanchez Axed from Arsenal First-team Training

Alexis Sanchez’s protracted transfer to Manchester United has taken a further twist after the Chilean was axed from first-team training.
The Chilean is set to join United in a deal that will likely see Henrikh Mkhitaryan head in the opposite direction.
Sanchez arrived at London Colney for training but completed a session with the club’s development team ahead of Saturday’s clash against Crystal Palace.
The development provides the clearest indication yet Sanchez’s move to Old Trafford is imminent.
Having been contacted by Sportsmail, Arsenal have declined to comment.
The 29-year-old star has agreed a staggering £450,000-a-week deal at United.
Sanchez will take home a basic wage of £350,000 a week, plus image rights of £100,000 a week and £7.5million-a-year signing on fee for four years.
Speaking earlier on Thursday, Wenger said the deal would likely go through within the next 48 hours but suggested if the transfer wasn’t completed by the weekend that Sanchez would be named in his squad to face the Eagles,
‘It is likely to happen but any minute things can break down. As long as it’s not over the line you can accept it might not happen.
‘It’s the deadline now. I left him out at Bournemouth because I was scared that the transfer would happen before we played Bournemouth.
‘It was already quite advanced so I didn’t want to be in the position where I tried with him and he has to go back, so he doesn’t play.
‘It’s now in the next 24 to 48 hours that it will happen or not.’
Wenger added that he has had no issues with the Chile star.
‘I have no problems with Sanchez,’ Wenger said. ‘He trained yesterday. He is 29 years old and the next contract is very important for him.
‘We did the maximum we could afford to do (with Sanchez’s contract offer).’
Wenger also confirmed that United playmaker Mkhitaryan is on the verge of swapping clubs with Sanchez by completing a move to north London.
The former Borussia Dortmund star has fallen out of favour under United boss Jose Mourinho, who was pictured being driven into the club’s Carrington training base on Thursday morning.
Asked whether a deal was close, Wenger said: ‘My understanding is yes. Yes of course (I like him), if it’s a possibility it’s because I like the player.
‘We played many times against him at Dortmund. He certainly appreciated the quality of our games and how we play football. Certainly he loves the club.
‘This would be an exchange of player and one would replace the other. We are still in the market.’

Meet the newly appointed UK ‘Minister for loneliness’

Britain has now created a “minister for loneliness” to tackle modern public health problems associated with social isolation.
Tracey Crouch has been appointed by the UK government after research showed as many as one in ten people felt lonely “always or often” and that hundreds of thousands of elderly people hadn’t spoken to a friend or relative in the past month.
Crouch will devise a national strategy to tackle isolation across all ages, and find ways of measuring alienation in official statistics.
“We know that there is a real impact of social isolation and loneliness on people, on their physical and mental well-being but also on other aspects in society and we want to tackle this challenge,” Crouch said.
York times reports that the prime minister announced on Wednesday that Tracey Crouch, who is the under secretary for sport and civil society in the culture ministry, would lead a governmentwide group to build on Ms. Cox’s legacy and establish policies on the issue.
The Cox commission, chaired by the lawmakers Rachel Reeves and Seema Kennedy, said it welcomed the government’s “prompt response” to its report.

Ms. Cox, the lawmakers said in a joint statement, “Young or old, loneliness doesn’t discriminate.”
“Throughout 2017 we have heard from new parents, children, disabled people, carers, refugees and older people about their experience of loneliness,” they added.
Government research has found that about 200,000 older people in Britain had not had a conversation with a friend or relative in more than a month.
Carol Jenkins, 64, a retired nurse from Berkshire, in southwest England, said she started to feel lonely when her son moved abroad and she downsized to a smaller house in a different county.
“It was a financial decision to move, and I didn’t really have it in me to start making new friends,” Ms. Jenkins recalled on Wednesday in a phone interview. “Months would go by without seeing my friends or family, and I felt really depressed and alone.”
Ms. Jenkins has since joined a Facebook group for Britons affected by loneliness, which, she says, has helped her to get out of the house more.
It’s not so much about meeting people on the internet and making new friends, but it’s more of a motivational support network that gives you direction on how to cope and fix the problem,” she said, adding that she was surprised by how many young people had joined the group.
“There are so many university students who just lock themselves in their rooms for days because they feel rejected or that they don’t fit in,” Ms. Jenkins said. “It’s only a matter of time before loneliness turns into depression. And that’s where it gets dangerous.”

Magic returns in Soundcity Awards

After resting the popular Soundcity Music Video Awards in 2010, it is safe to say that the magic of the reward initiative has returned as returned to the creative sector in a bigger way.
Coming from the same company, the Soundcity Most Valuable Player (MVP) Awards Festival which held recently at the Eko Convention Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos, lived up to the pre-event buzz of the show, introduced in 2016 by Consolidated Media Associates, owners of  Soundcity Africa (Television, Radio and Digital).
At a time when the industry boasts of a few reputable music awards platform that can capture showbiz aptly, SMVP Awards Festival could be said to be a breath of fresh air. More so, as the awards has positioned itself as a Pan African event by going beyond Nigeria to appreciate artistes from other African countries.
Although there was a dedicated red carpet area right outside the convention centre, the floor of the hallway as well as the lobby leading to the events hall were draped in red. Inside, the auditorium was a continuum of glitz and glamour. The lighting and visual randomization spread from the screen on stage to the ceiling and walls, creating a fascinating effect befitting of an event of such caliber. The aesthetically designed stage was T-shaped. This allowed winners of the event to easily waltz into the stage from their seats instead of going through the backstage. Only the performers, host, and award presenters made use of the main entry and exit on stage.
Each music act that came on stage was a delight to watch, not necessarily because they were better performers but the skilled choreographers who accompanied them showcased pulsating displays. From their costumes to their dance steps, they electrified the atmosphere.
While the huge turnout spoke volumes for the organiser’s reach, the massive hall which was transformed to a showground of sorts could not accommodate all. There was barely any unoccupied space in the ground floor of the hall. It was not different upstairs. Even the VIP section which accommodated nominees and celebrities was so packed that some attendees only had room to stand. The female protocol officials had a hard time persuading to move away from blocking the view of those seated. But their pleas fell on deaf ears. It took the intervention of security personnel to convince them to either squat or leave. This respite was however short-lived. Once the guards left, they resumed their position. At this point, the female ushers gave up.
The SMVP Awards Festival is a testimonial to the professionalism of the CMA helmsman Tajudeen Adepetu. For five days, Adepetu and his team worked tirelessly at the venue to achieve the desired result. Carpenters, sound technicians, event planners, stage designers gathered at the site daily to transform the purlieu. The walls of the hallway leading to the main hall were covered with design of the nominees.
No doubt, Adepetu threw everything into the ring to have a spectacular show. This was largely made possible by three major brands, Guinness, United Bank of Africa (UBA) and Coca-Cola that threw their weight behind the ceremony.
There was so much to behold of performances by Skales and his sexily-dressed female dancers; Small Doctor who came on stage with his own group of dancers dressed in red football jerseys and shorts as he rendered his wave-making hit ‘Penalty’; Iyanya who totally stole the night as the only performer who did not rely on the popularity of his songs to entertain the audience but actually immersed himself in his performance; Tiwa Savage who performed with Alternate Sound Live Band, as the DJ cued in her songs: ‘Malo’ featuring Wizkid and ‘All Over’; and 2Baba who performed his popular hits including ‘Gaga Shuffle’, and ended his act by calling on the government and security agencies to put a stop to the recent killings by Fulani herdsmen in his home state, Benue.
While Nigerian artistes had a good outing at the show, South African rappers EMTee and Cassper Nyovest, and Ghanaian act Sarkodie who took home the Best Collaboration Award for ‘Pain Killer’ his collaborative effort with Runtown didn’t fail to excite the audience.
Davido was the man of the night. Right from his arrival, he caused such frenzy that his fans ignored the happenings on stage to focus on him. He won the most number of awards for the night. His 2017 super
hit ‘If’ fetched him two awards ‘Song of the Year’ and ‘Video of the Year’. He was also the recipient of the biggest award of the night: ‘African Artiste of the Year’. Maleek Berry also took home two awards for Best New Artiste and Best Pop. Olamide and Wizkid took one award each: Listeners Choice and Digital Artiste of the Year respectively. Tiwa Savage was the only female winner of the night. She took home the award for the Best Female MVP. Other winners of the night include Cassper Nyovest (Best Hip Hop) and Diamond Platnumz (Best Male MVP).

Churchill moves to stop airing of King Tonto reality show

There are indications that Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh may not continue with her much publicized reality show, King Tonto, as her estranged husband, Olakunle Churchill has kicked against the casting of their son in the project.
In an 18-page law suit document filed to stop the show, Churchill said his intention is to protect his son’s rights as captured under the Child Rights Law of Lagos State.
Produced by Linda Ikeji Media Limited, the show features the erstwhile couple’s son, King Andre.
Mr. Churchill is of the opinion that featuring King in that production is solely to exploit his son for financial gain, and expose the life and times of the little boy at a period when he cannot make a decision for himself a the production is basically of adult content.
A snippet of the TV show captures Tonto in the OR going through what looks like a surgical procedure, to firm up her breasts.
Recent reports have it that Tonto Dikeh’s new butt cost a whooping N5million. The actress had said via Instagram, after the surgery in a Lagos hospital that the surgery was done on her body due to insecurities.
Tonto Dikeh and Linda Ikeji Limited are yet to make a comment regarding the new development.
