Terra Kulture to market October 1 film

Arts and cultural centre, Terra Kulture will partner with Kunle Afolyan’s Golden Effects Pictures to market the film, October 1, reports The Nation 

The partnership is meant to raise sponsorship for the cinematic release and worldwide premiere of the film.

Managing Director and founder of Terra Kulture, Bolanle Austen-Peters, at a private screening of the film said that the centers involvement signifies a renaissance in culture of Nigerian movie promotion, and marketing of arts and culture at large.


October 1 is a  psychological thriller that follows Danladi Waziri (Sadiq Daba), a police officer from the North who is posted to the remote town of Akote, to solve a  series of female murder cases before the Nigerian flag is raised on October 1, Nigeria’s Independence Day.

The film which debuts in cinemas on October 1, has an array of stars that include Kunle Afolayan, Sadiq Daba, Deola Sagoe, Kenneth Okonkwo, Fabian Adeoye Lojede, Demola Adedoyin, David Baile, Kayode Olaiya and Kehinde Bankole.
The movie was made with over N200million, and was shot in Lagos and Ondo state for over forty days, after four months on pre-production.

The Wives arrive on stage

A stage play written by renowned playwright   Professor Ahmed Yerima titled The Wives will show at TerraKulture on September 6.

The play is the author’s twist on  polygamy in a humourous and witty way.
The play stars  Kaylah Oniwo, Evaezi, Odenike, Olawumi Heavens, Bola Haastrup, David Azeez and  Patrick Diabuah.
The Wives is a dark comedy about four women Cecilia, Angela, Tobi and Auntimi  who are  trapped in a web of lies spun by their billionaire benefactor Gbadegeshin.

The play opens up to accusations of murder, incest and inheritance fraud are rife between the women.
