Actress Chika Ike was recently given the award for ‘The Most Disciplined‘ actress by the Delta State Chapter of the Actors’ Guild of Nigeria. She proudly posted the award on her Instagram and received congratulations from her fans.
‘It’s an honor when your Guild honors you….. Thanks to the actors guild of Nigeria. (AGN). Love you all‘, she wrote.

However, one can't help but wonder what the criteria for ‘the most disciplined’ actress is and who the other contenders were. Here's a timeline of controversies the Nollywood actress has recently been involved in (yet she was awarded the most 'disciplined actress'):

Late December 2012: Chika Ika says she’s 27, her fans don’t believe this, so she posts her WAEC result on the internet just to convince them.

January 2013: Her 2013 calender shoot receives mixed reactions and reviews with many saying it is tacky.

July 2013: Chika Ike reveals she ended her marriage because she was a victim of domestic violence. She then proceeds to announce her marriage is officially over on her Facebook page.

September 2013: Chika Ike is rumoured to be dating Senator David Mark who allegedly bought her a Range Rover Sport SUV. She however denies the relationship.

Fire destroys Edo deputy speaker's residence .

 The official residence of the Deputy Speaker of the Edo House of Assembly, Festus Ebea, has been gutted by fire.The fire which razed down the bedroom portion of the house and personal effects estimated at millions of naira, was said to have started on Wednesday night.

Ebea, who is representing APC Esan South-East in the House told newsmen that he was able to retrieve his certificates, adding that the fire destroyed documents relating to his Office.

He said it took the combined efforts of the neighbours who came with fire extinguishers and water to put out the fire.The deputy speaker listed some of the personal effects destroyed to include, computers, plasma TV, air conditioners, phones, Bank documents, official documents and an undisclosed sum of money, among others.
He, however, gave God the glory that no life was lost, saying that the cause of the fire may be traced to an electrical fault."I do not suspect any foul play," he added.

 The couple who have been tagged as “Nollywood’s most celebrated couple” have been married for 28 years.Olu Jacobs said marrying Joke was the best decision of his life till date.
